Having been married for 29 years (and counting), I truly understand the value of the commitment you are making to one another. With that in mind, I work closely with you so that your wedding in the mountains will be a truly memorable event. After receiving your request and confirming the location and date, I will meet with you to discuss the details of the ceremony. Because of distance and time restraints, the ceremony details are often completed through the use of email. I provide you with the basic civil ceremony as well as a number of phrases and reading options that you may wish to include in order to personalize your ceremony. You may also incorporate your own vows or readings. Through this process a ceremony is developed to reflect the couple you are. If you require a rehearsal, I will attend. This is a good idea for weddings with a wedding party of two or more attendants, but not necessary for smaller weddings. Sometimes a meeting to review the details of the ceremony is all that is necessary. On the day of your wedding, I arrive on site approximately 1/2 hour prior to the ceremony start time. This allows time to quickly say "hi" to all involved.
Perform the ceremony! During the ceremony, if a tissue is needed for those tears of happiness, I always have one available. After the wedding, I ensure that the Registration of Marriage is properly completed and returned promptly to the Registry office. Immediately following the ceremony, I prepare and present you with a Marriage Statement which will act as proof of the wedding until the Certificate of Marriage is received. I am available to perform your ceremony in the location of your choice on most days except Sunday which I reserve for family. |
